Laufen expands the Cleanet Riva range even further

The toilet’s great popularity proves that Laufen has chosen the right path in this. Laufen is now expanding the Cleanet Riva range with a new colour version, two new smartphone apps and a specific version for hotels and the semi-public sector.

Matte-white colours are the height of fashion for bathrooms. As a result, Laufen now also offers its popular Cleanet Riva shower toilet with an elegant, matte-white ceramic surface. That allows the shower toilet to be combined perfectly with other matte-white ceramics by Laufen, and also creates a cohesive design with other matte surfaces in the bathroom. Bathroom planners, architects and end customers will appreciate the freedom of design.

Shower toilets must be simple and intuitive to use – complexity and hygiene are mutually exclusive. That is why the most important functions of the Cleanet Riva can be controlled via the ergonomic rotary control at the side, while the remote control provides other functions intuitively via a touchscreen.

From spring 2018, Laufen will also offer a Cleanet Riva app for smartphones, which will allow users to control the most important shower functions quickly and simply. Rear or lady function, jet strength and jet type and the position of the shower arm are just a fingertip away and can be saved in user profiles. That even works when travelling, as users generally have mobile devices with them and can use their individual profile for Cleanet Riva units installed there.

The app also gives users other basic or detailed settings they need at home: for example, simple individualization of factory settings and operation of superordinate settings and maintenance functions like descaling and thermal cleaning. In addition, the app communicates with the user, informing for example when descaling or thermal cleaning is required. The app also allows users to order consumables in the webshop. The Cleanet Riva app is available for iOS or Android.

The second new app for Cleanet Riva is intended for installation engineers and designed to make assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the shower toilet easier providing them with information and functions directly on their smartphones.

Intuitive usability is essential for shower toilets in hotel bathrooms, as guests are frequently transient, and have no time to learn the functions in detail. That is why Laufen designed a hotel version of its Cleanet Riva shower toilet, which reduces the control options for guests with the rotary control and remote control only accessing the most essential hygiene functions. That makes it child’s play to operate and rules out operating errors or changes to basic settings.

However, unlike guests, the hotel personnel or hotel management can access all functions of the Cleanet Riva via the remote control with a key combination. In addition, Laufen modified the service and maintenance notifications of the shower toilet: guests only see a red flashing light underneath the toilet when the Cleanet Riva reports a malfunction that needs urgent
maintenance.

In general, Cleanet Riva benefits from the puristic, classic design of the shower toilet that can be integrated harmoniously in any bathroom atmosphere, as it looks just like a conventional toilet. The extremely easy cleaning of the Swiss shower toilet also benefits the hotel: the solid ceramic body, removable seat and lid, interior basin without a flush rim and with a descaling function as well as thermal cleaning of the water-bearing internal parts ensure excellent hygiene, easy care and a long service life.
